Did you know? The Lot is one of the leading destinations in the country for equestrian tourism.
Nothing is left to chance. As early as the 1960s, a handful of enthusiasts understood the exceptional potential of the Lot's network of trails for exploring a region rich in heritage and natural beauty.
A series of equestrian centers developed, along with a network of riding trails and accommodations, to foster this activity and make the Lot a true destination for trail riding and horseback riding.
Equestrian endurance sporting events have complemented this dynamic, such as the famous "2 Days of Montcuq," which is still internationally recognized today.
Today, the Lot has over 700 km of riding trails, and 14 equestrian facilities, 19 accommodation providers, as well as several associations and individual riders, are members of the Lot Equestrian Tourism Association (ATE Lot).
